Your holiday begins with a private transfer from Funchal airport, via the cliffs and bays of the island’s magnificent south coast, to the peaceful harbour town of Calheta. It’s a short walk from your villa to the nearby marina with its friendly cafe bars and restaurants, and Calheta is well-known and well-loved for its warm, sunny micro-climate: the perfect, sheltered spot for a swim in the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
We can arrange dinner reservations at one of our favourite local restaurants for your first evening, or our driver will help you to shop for supplies enroute from the airport. Your hire car will be delivered the following day and you can begin to explore Madeira’s legendary beauty. We’ve also included a whale and dolphin watching excursion from the capital Funchal, and a private day with our resident canyoning guides, exploring the remote forests of northern Madeira.

We include all the luggage you’ll need so there are no nasty surprises or extras to pay at the airport, and we’ll select the best available seats for you in advance.
